This July, our community will have the privilege of welcoming eight remarkable women from Israelâ€"young mothers whose husbands were killed in battle on or since October 7, yet who continue to move forward with extraordinary strength and resilience.
These women are widows of soldiers and police officers who gave their lives defending Israel, and mothers raising children who will know their fathers through stories, memories, and values. Despite unimaginable loss, they continue to choose hope and purpose each day.
Among our guests are women like Dana, raising two young children after the loss of her husband Ofer; Eden, who discovered she was pregnant only days after burying her husband Eliran; and Shoshi, whose husband Avi rushed to join his soldiers on October 7 and never returned home. Their stories reflect the courage and sacrifice of an entire nation.
During their week in Metro Detroit, our community will have the opportunity to extend friendship, support, and gratitude to these extraordinary women.
Bais Chabad of West Bloomfield is covering the full cost of this visit, including airfare, accommodations, transportation, programming, and hospitality. We invite you to become a sponsor and help provide these women with a meaningful week of healing, connection, and support.
We invite you to join us for a special community event:
8 Widows. 8 Stories. 1 Unbreakable Spirit.
Thursday, July 9, 7:00 PM at The J
Meet these courageous women, hear their stories firsthand, and gain a deeper appreciation for the strength and faith that continue to sustain them.
