This campaign is over.
You can still contribute to this campaign.

For 30 hours, on 613*, your generous donation will be doubled, bringing double the light and double the love to the Jewish community of West Bloomfield and beyond!

(*June 13. Campaign begins on June 13 at 10:00 am and runs through Friday, June 14, 4:00 pm)

At Bais Chabad of West Bloomfield our goal is to spread the light of Torah and Mitzvot, and to show unconditional and non-judgemental love - Ahavat Yisrael - to one and all. This is accomplished with numerous events, programs and learning opportunities (listed below) which are available to everyone, young and old, advanced or beginner, affiliated or not.

With your help, we hope to raise $75,000 during this thirty hour period, which, when matched, will be $150,000, allowing for the continuation and growth of these activities.

Please give generously and be a part of this exciting opportunity.

A huge thank you to our matchers:
Akiva (Kenny) Borin, Ari-el Enterprises, Ethan and Yael Gross, Marty and Dale Goodman, Bruce and Mindy Ruben, The Lehmann and Weitz families in loving memory of Helen and Jack Lubliner

What does Bais Chabad of West Bloomfield provide to the community?

Are you a Jewish Child? You'll love the Chanukah Wonderland, Shofar Factory, Matzah Bakery and numerous other community-wide children's programs which provide Jewish education in a fun, engaging way. Opportunities are either free or well below cost.

We understand that in order to build a strong Jewish future, we need a foundation of proud, educated Jewish boys and girls. Other programs include Kids in the Kitchen, Aleph Art Room, Mommy and Me and weekly Shabbat youth minyans for three different age groups.

Are you a Jewish Young Adult? You'll love the the social events such as Shabbat Dinner with Strangers, Holy Hour Happy Hour, Adult Sukkah Hop, Whirleyball Melava Malka or perhaps a regular Friday night Shabbat dinner at the home of Rabbi Shneur and Zeesy at which a table filled with young men and women connect with one another and with their Jewish heritage.

Are you a Jewish Woman? The Jewish Women's Circle, about to celebrate it's 10th anniversary, provides monthly events to nourish the soul and delight the senses, as well as weekly classes to challenge and stimulate the mind. Women from every background meet to connect, support one another and find inspiration and sisterhood. Events this past year included Soup and Soul in the Sukkah, Tu B’shvat Flower arrangements, Chocolate Seder and an upcoming Garden Party Gala.

Are you looking to study? The hallmark of the Bais Chabas Torah Center has always been the Torah study opportunities it has provided. Thousands of people have been (and continue to be) inspired by the wisdom and guidance of Torah, as it is provided by the many expert teachers at Bais Chabad. Classes on Talmud, Kaballah, Jewish Law, Hebrew, Prayer, Ethics, the list goes on. In addition to the classes, we are happy to provide one-on-one learning opportunities with one of our qualified Rabbis or Rebbetzins

Are you looking for a community that will welcome you unconditionally? Bais Chabad is far more than a team of dedicated clergy. Join us at a Shabbos Kiddush and (while under the influence of some delicious Shabbos cuisine) you’ll observe one giant family; a friendly group of people who are happy to welcome anyone and everyone into their midsts. On any given week, families in the community are happy to open their homes to host guests from far and wide for Shabbat meals and accommodations. No questions asked.

Are you Starting a Family? Bais Chabad is home to a thriving, growing community of young families. Bais Chabad is committed to assisting young families, spiritually and materially, and providing much needed support and camaraderie through the challenges (and joys) of raising children. Our (heavily subsidized) Family Shabbaton in Northern Michigan was a perfect opportunity for families to connect and rejuvenate while celebrating our holy traditions.

Are you recovering from Surgery, or overwhelmed by a recent Simcha celebration, or loss? Bais Chabad’s Cheers and Tears will make sure you are not alone during the overwhelming moments of life. A fresh home-made Challah, or – if necessary - a gourmet dinner for the entire family, will be delivered to your home. If you are up for it, we are happy to visit and provide the emotional support you need and deserve.

Are you (or is someone you know) an Inmate? Our rabbis serve as chaplains to the nearby prisons, bringing hope and light to those behind bars. We believe that everyone deserves the love and inspiration that our Torah and Jewish tradition provides, and we will do our very best to be there, regardless of time, location or circumstance.
